Leader Magazine
DECEMBER 1960.
LEATHERWORK CLUB NOTES.
The scope of the Club has been increased by the arrival of a sewing machine, trials in the operation of which are taking place at the time of writing.
Among the assortment of belts and wallets produced, and we hear there is an envious demand for these among non-members, the most unusual item has perhaps been the strap for supporting an electric guitar, made in Morocco leather, which was appropriate.
J/Ldrs Williams and Rowlson have completed the hobby section for their Silver Awards in the club this term.
The research section have dissected a pair of slippers and results are awaited. They scorn the easier method of purchasing patterns, in the belief that a structure is all the more sound for a little destruction beforehand.
