Leader Magazine
WINTER 1961.
CIVILIAN STAFF NOTES.
The number of civilian employees now working on the camp has increased to 184, with a great variety of jobs, from helping with the banquets in the cookhouse to driving, storing and extremely skilful typographical duties.
Matador Dunbabin successfully attained a grade "A" pass on a Bullfighting Course held in Spain during October. We hear that he was particularly commended on his footwork, whilst his chest-passes took everyone's breath away.
We shall be sorry to see the departure of Mrs. Audrey Roberts from the Q.M.'s department, who is leaving at the end of this term. She has been a member of the civilian staff during the past two years, and is now retiring to take up full-time domestic duties.
It is hoped to hold a Christmas Party at the end of term, when the spirit of brotherhood, which is the hall-mark of civilian staff relationships, will be given full scope.
Marriage: Mr. Chambers to Doreen Jones of Barmouth.
Birth: Mr. and Mrs. Franklin, a little girl, Beverley Ann.
We wish a speedy recovery to Mr. H.M. Owen, Mrs. D. Jones, and Mr. H. Jones.
