Leader Magazine
DECEMBER 1960.
A VISIT TO GERMANY.
by J/Tpr BAINBRIDGE.
Germany, a land of rolling green pastures, glittering rivers and serene towns; this is what I hoped to see very soon.
A trip to Germany holds a great fascination for me as I have never left Britain before. We will visit the Harz Mountains, but the main reason for going to Germany is to see how the Intelligence Corps works abroad. Also, as German is being taught at Tonfanau, it will be a great asset to both our knowledge of the country and the learning of the language.
Lt. Dawson and Lt. Pickles are to accompany us.
To me the trip to Germany will be an adventure, and to be able to see how other nations live will give me great satisfaction. I mean to make the most of my chance of fulfilling my ambition to travel.
