island paradise in the sparkling Mediterranean all for £24
a head—this was the Army Boys Expedition of 1964.

Specially selected from units throughout Britain, the expedition
comprised 30 junior soldiers. Their destination—Corsica.

They slept under the stars... swam in cool mountain streams...
climbed among breathtaking craggy peaks. It was the holiday
of a lifetime.

Corsica was selected by the leader of the expedition, Major
Leigh, Royal Engineers, the Military Training Officer at Chepstow.
