St Fagg's Day Luncheon 2014
Civil Service Club, Whitehall.
23 Faggsters turned up on Wednesday 23 April 2014 at our adopted "guard house" - The Civil Service Club London SW1. No sign of L/Cpl Fagg manning the gate so we all made it through to the main bar for a glass or two of ale.
In due course we made our way up to the main dining room. Due to our numbers we occupied most of the room. The only other dinners were two ancient looking dowagers who looked aghast at their new dinning partners and made a hasty exit.
The meal ran its course with the due efficient service from the CSC staff and we then progressed onto the port and our established round of toasts The Queen - The Regiment - St George (presented by a Scotsman!) - St Fagg.
Following the team photo we moved back to the main bar for a decompression drinking session.
This year was our highest attendee numbers and hopefully we can build on this for St FDL 2015.
MID (Mention in Dispatches)
Peter Brown  for delivery of "grace" in Latin!
John Burns  for delivery of an inspired toast to St. George (and resisting the impulse to break into song!)
Laurance Ward  for leading the joint ABF & MoD drinking team (see photo E) who managed to demolish a bottle of Merlot in 45 secs flat!
Fred Philpot for taking on the role of The St Faggs recruiting sergeant which was highly effective with his efforts at Barmouth!
Richard Abraham   for taking on the role as MC/Toast Master - someone should buy him a gavel for Christmas - having sat next to him I will be looking for a rubber one for 2015 (I have just about recovered hearing in my left ear!)
