Reunion Report From Larry Smith
| What a great weekend! Time for a change with the annual report though!! I have read the last 6 Reunion reports and I report on the same events annually. To this end if newcomers wish to know what we get up to annually in Barmouth they should read back over the past reports as they are very repetitive and the format is the same. However both old and newcomers had a smashing time and made every effort to be on parade. Badger was commended on his efforts to attend the gathering, after having recently had an operation; he gave us a report on the passing of Barrie Jeffrey. It was nice to see Diana Bailey back with the regimental family after the loss of David. 3 Sqn RCT were in Barmouth for their reunion and it was a coincidence the one of our own Mike Shannon was a past member. Also I met Chad Gibbons who was in Malacca with me in 68 to 69. |
| Another bit of news was that it was suggested that we hold a half yearly get together in Leeds. There are several old boys in that area and with the train link and senior railcards it should be a viable proposition. |
| The team worked well again and I'm glad that you are happy with what we do. The Team includes of course Ken Hart. |
