I joined the AAJLR with the Easter intake 1964 and this photograph of 3 Platoon would have been taken towards the end of recruit training before the annual summer leave. |
I cannot recall the infantry regiments but Privates Patmore, Young and Clayton were RASC. I think that Private Chance was in the Intelligence Corps, whilst Private Watson was Royal Pioneer Corps. Private Burton and myself were RMP. I think he was called Pete and I recall that about 1968, a year or so after being posted to Osnabruck as an MP he transferred to the Army Physical Training Corps. |
