Leader Magazine
WINTER 1961.
SOCIAL CENTRE NOTES.
Now that the Summer activities are over, we have been able to turn our attention to indoor games, and have once again formed darts, table tennis and snooker teams. Some very enjoyable evenings have been spent at table tennis and darts with teams from the Officers' Mess and at snooker against both the Officers' Mess and the W.O.'s and Sgts. Mess Teams. The inter-company quiz is again under way and at the time of writing, "A" have won their way to the final.
The cafe is still running smoothly, with extra volunteer assistants to relieve the original helpers. Still more alterations have been made to the cafe and kitchens to make them look more attractive. A very successful social was held just before half term, when we had some parents staying in camp for the week end for the Confirmation service the following day. The Bishop of Bangor attended the social with Colonel and Mrs. Lake.
At the time of writing we are starting preparations for the winter Fair at the end of November, which we hope will prove as successful as did our Summer Fair last term.
