Leader Magazine
DECEMBER 1960.
NOTES FROM THE SOCIAL CENTRE.
When the Social Centre opened, its normal events took place within the Unit. Now, 18 months later, we have a large number of contacts outside. Table tennis matches have been played against Towyn, Llanegryn, and Bryn-Crug and debates with Barmouth have been held.
The monthly socials are gaining in popularity; the transport provided brings in many partners from the towns around, and the weekly dancing class is paying off.
We have now 120 pop records, and new games and books have recently been received, and the new centrally-heated TV room will soon be opened.
A thought: we would like to see A & D Companies, now and again! It's a long walk, but pop in and see us.
