Leader Magazine
Vol.3.No.2.                    July 1962
WATERLOO.
We of Waterloo platoon wish all of the graduates every success in their careers in the army; we are sure they will be missed by everyone.
This term has been a good one for all of us, on the sports aspect especially at cricket where we reached the semi-final of the inter-platoon competition, but we were knocked out by our rival Cambrai. We have a J/L in the Regimental cricket team J/Sig. Swinson, Wicket-keeper for the 1st. XI.
In the athletics we have J/Ldrs Morris, Walsh, Kerry and we also have Kemley in the "OLYMPIANS" gymnastics club. J/Sig. Watson in canoeing came 4th at Blackpool and 6th at Bath. J/Sig. Croucher represented us at the Royal Tournament in London.
The Tug-of-War have two outstanding members, J/L/Cpl. Ridsdale and J/L/Cpl. Worgan, Beetlecrushers to the last.
Now we are waiting for the new lads to fill up the empty places that will be left at the end of term. We hope they will enjoy the wonderful life that Waterloo holds for them.
